On the occasion of its Department Day, the department of Mass Communication and Journalism, Salesian College, Siliguri, held a Guest Lecture on 17th August, 2017. The Guest Lecture was delivered by Mr. Imran-e-Azam, senior sub-editor and reporter of Dainik Jagran. The topic for the guest lecture was 'The Realities of the Journalistic World' and was attended by the students of the department of Mass Communication as well as the students of the Department of English interested in attending the lecture.
After Mr. Imran-e-Azam’s welcome with 'Khadas' and bouquet, he gave an insightful lecture on the realities of working in the field of Journalism. He also gave a presentation on the various avenues and career opportunities in the field of Mass Communication, which was followed by an interactive question and answer session. The guest lecture concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Shital Chettri (Part III, Dept. of Mass Communication).
